Hi, I’m Sarah—the baker behind Sugar + Love!

  • Born and raised in Berne, now raising two energetic South Adams kiddos with my husband, Tyler
  • Obsessed with good food, great music, and anything art-y
  • Extra-passionate about knowing what’s in our food (one of our kids has a food allergy, so label-reading is second nature here)
  • Proud maker of soft, fresh-milled bread and those signature gooey cinnamon rolls you all love

My cinnamon-roll love story began in childhood, sneaking bites of the legendary rolls at The Gathering House in downtown Berne. Those sweet, swirly memories ended up shaping my whole future—though I didn’t realize it at the time!

When our little one had a peanut reaction at 11 months, our family dove head-first into learning exactly what goes into our food. That journey turned into countless home-cooked experiments (hello, fresh-milled flour!) and, eventually, the fluffy, flavorful breads and rolls I now share with you.
